We had such an amazing time at the concert last night. It’s really hard to describe an Arcade Fire concert if you have never experienced it first hand. It is a colossal spectacle of light, sound, and pure energy.

5 years ago I saw them in Winnipeg, before any of their super huge stardom hit. That concert was in a smaller venue and, as luck would have it, our tickets were in the 4th row from the stage (we didn’t realize this until we got there). It was the most fun I’ve ever had at a show.

Fast forward 5 years later and there we were, in an arena with 5000 other fans and Arcade Fire was exactly as awesome as they were back in that more intimate venue in Winnipeg. Their sound is so large and dynamic that it could fill the biggest stadium in the world and still feel very personal.

And now it is tied with their last show as the most fun I’ve ever had at a concert.

Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

It was certainly a major highlight from last night and I’ll be dancing to it for the rest of the day.

Happy Monday to all!
