On this last day of March, I’m taking some time to remember my Grandma Allen.

Today I’m remembering her sweet laugh, her astounding beauty, her compassion, her love.

I’m remembering the games of ‘Go Fish,’ the treats from the Red Rooster, the tiny tea set she kept in the brown cupboard for pretend tea parties.

I’m thinking of all she accomplished in her life; moving from city to city with a hockey playing husband, settling down in small town Saskatchewan to raise four kids, creating an important legacy for generations to come.

On the anniversary of today, I’m trying not to focus on how sad ¬†it is that she is gone. Instead I’m thinking about how wonderful she was and how much better my life is because of her.

I love you Gram.
